Municipality urges compliance with construction waste, safety regulations

Kuwait Municipality has renewed its call for property owners to comply with regulations governing construction, demolition, restoration and the disposal of debris at designated sites, stressing the importance of maintaining public safety and a clean environment.

The municipality warned against dumping construction waste and rubble on roads, public places or other unauthorized locations. Safety teams in the six governorates conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with the regulations.

As part of its awareness campaign, the municipality has posted a series of messages on the social media under the title “Build, Don’t Destroy,” urging property owners not to dump rubble and construction waste in front of their premises.

Under municipal regulations, property owners are responsible for removing debris and rubble and ensuring it is not accumulated outside their properties. Violations may result in fines and other penalties.

Municipal field teams also inspect plots and houses under construction to monitor construction work, protect neighboring properties and ensure safety measures are followed to safeguard lives and property.
