“Minister Al-Mishaan” inspects ‘Jabriya’ road maintenance to enhance network
The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, conducted an inspection tour in the Jabriya area to assess the latest developments and monitor the progress of road maintenance works.
During the visit, Al-Mishaan focused on evaluating the implementation of asphalt treatment methods and the ongoing work within the new radical maintenance contracts. These contracts cover 18 major road maintenance practices across various regions of the country, including all six governorates, aimed at improving both highways and internal roads.
In a press statement, Al-Mishaan explained that the purpose of the tour was to review the latest developments and follow up on the implementation of road maintenance work in the field.
Al-Mishaan emphasized that these efforts are part of the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to enhance infrastructure. The road maintenance projects are aligned with the ministry’s strategic plan to improve the road network and ensure a safe, sustainable environment for both citizens and residents. This initiative is in response to the growing demands of urban development and increasing transportation needs.
Importantly, Al-Mishaan stressed the Ministry’s strong commitment to overseeing all stages of implementation, from design to completion. She highlighted the importance of adhering to internationally recognized quality standards and technical specifications to ensure the highest levels of performance and durability in the roads.
Al-Mishaan stated that her directives for the swift completion of maintenance work were based on the recommendations of the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah. This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to preserving and repairing the country’s infrastructure. She emphasized that the infrastructure of any nation is a fundamental pillar of its economic vision.
Furthermore, Al-Mishaan emphasized the importance of coordination to resolve any pending issues related to road maintenance work. She urged the implementing companies to complete all tasks promptly, ensuring the required quality and efficiency in line with the approved technical specifications and adhering to the agreed-upon timetable.
Al-Mishaan stated that road maintenance and repair are a priority for the political leadership, praising the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled. She highlighted their strong support for road maintenance projects, which will serve as a cornerstone for advanced infrastructure under the New Kuwait 2035 plan.
