The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Kuwait Chapter (ICAIKC), organised a career counselling session at the Indian Embassy Auditorium in Kuwait, bringing together more than 70 students, parents and aspiring professionals seeking guidance on the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course and career opportunities.

The session provided an overview of the CA curriculum, eligibility requirements, examination structure, practical training and career pathways in India and internationally. Participants also received guidance on the skills, commitment and professional approach required to pursue the qualification.

A key focus was helping students make informed career decisions while addressing common questions about the CA journey. The session also highlighted the expanding role of Chartered Accountants beyond traditional accounting, with opportunities in finance, taxation, audit, advisory, technology, analytics, strategy and business leadership.

The interactive programme was hosted by CA Sriram Gopalakrishnan, whose engagement with participants contributed to the discussion and question-and-answer session. Students and parents used the interaction to seek clarification on various aspects of CA education and professional development.

ICAI Kuwait Chapter Chairperson CA Venkata Ramana Badida thanked the Embassy of India in Kuwait and its officials for providing the venue and support. He reaffirmed the chapter’s commitment to career guidance, student development and stronger engagement with the student community in Kuwait.

The ICAI Kuwait Chapter said it will continue organising initiatives focused on student development, career awareness and professional education, providing aspiring Chartered Accountants with opportunities to engage with professionals and the wider CA community.

In a vote of thanks, CA Nisha Jalan acknowledged the support of educational institutions and their representatives, including Ravi Ayanoli, Principal of Delhi Public School (DPS); Father James, Principal of Don Bosco School; Lucy Annama, Principal of Indian Public School (IPS); and Sujatha Sivakrishnan, Principal of Indian Community School (ICS).
