The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, affiliated with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, has launched its ‘Acceleration 2026’ program in cooperation with global open innovation platform Mind the Bridge (MTB), targeting promising projects and innovations in food and water security.

The program is designed to help innovative projects prepare for growth, expansion and access to international markets, companies and innovation ecosystems. Target areas include agricultural technology, food technology, water and desalination technologies, and solutions addressing challenges in these sectors.

The intensive acceleration phase will be held in Kuwait from November 16 to 23, focusing on project development, market and investment readiness, business models, presentation skills and specialized mentorship.

Following the Kuwait phase, the top 10 projects will be selected for an international mission to Barcelona, Spain, from December 8 to 17. The mission will provide opportunities to explore the international innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and establish connections with companies, research centers and specialized organizations in food, agriculture, water and desalination.

The selected projects will also participate in Demo Day in Barcelona on December 15, where they will present their solutions to potential investors, companies and partners. The center said its partnership with MTB will strengthen the program’s international dimension by leveraging the platform’s expertise in accelerating startups and connecting them with global markets, investors, companies and innovation ecosystems.

The initiative reflects the center’s efforts to empower innovators and entrepreneurs and transform promising solutions into projects capable of growth, expansion and international competition, particularly in areas linked to food and water security. Registration remains open until November 12, with the local acceleration phase beginning November 16. Further details and application requirements are available through the center’s official website.
