ICAIKC marks Gandhi Jayanti at Kharafi Center for Special Needs
. . . through compassion, inclusion and shared joy
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the ICAI Kuwait Chapter Committee spent meaningful time with the children at the Kharafi Center for Special Needs, Kuwait, celebrating the occasion through interaction, engagement and shared moments of joy.
Chairperson CA. Venkata Ramana Badida, along with the Committee members, participated in various activities with the children, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, happiness and togetherness. The smiles, enthusiasm and affection of the children made the occasion truly memorable for everyone.
The programme reflected the timeless values of Mahatma Gandhi; compassion, empathy, inclusion and respect for every individual. His enduring message, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” served as a meaningful reminder that even small acts of kindness can create a positive impact.
Speaking on the occasion, ICAIKC representatives highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s core values of truth, non-violence, discipline and simplicity, which remain equally relevant in the pursuit of professional excellence. These values, when complemented by a strong sense of social responsibility, encourage professionals to contribute meaningfully to the communities around them.
The Committee expressed its sincere appreciation to the management and team of Kharafi Center for Special Needs for facilitating the interaction and extending their warm hospitality. The programme was coordinated by CA. Sweta Chipra, Vice Chairperson; CA. Firoz Ali, Secretary; and CA. Shuja Khan, Committee Member, ICAI Kuwait Chapter, along with other Committee members whose collective efforts contributed significantly to making the occasion a meaningful and memorable experience for the children.
The Gandhi Jayanti programme is part of the Chapter’s broader efforts to promote empathy, inclusion and responsible citizenship, while strengthening its engagement with society and extending the values of the CA profession beyond the workplace.
