MCI floats tenders for biometric attendance and Sahel platform upgrades

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has floated two new tenders to advance its digital infrastructure and improve operational efficiency across its departments and service platforms.
The first tender covers the implementation of a biometric fingerprint attendance system for ministry employees and affiliated service centers, supporting enhanced workforce management and administrative efficiency.
The second focuses on the maintenance, enhancement and continued development of the Sahel and Sahel Business applications, part of the ministry’s broader strategy to strengthen digital government services and improve the user experience for individuals and businesses.
The ministry announced that bids for both tenders will be accepted from July 12 through July 27, inviting qualified companies to participate in the procurement process.
The initiatives reflect Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to accelerate digital transformation, modernize public services and expand the use of smart technologies across government institutions.
