Kuwait opens reservations for 28 wedding halls for 2027 and 2028 via Sahel
Kuwait has opened reservations for 28 wedding halls for events scheduled throughout 2027 and 2028, with bookings available exclusively through the Dar Al-Munassabat and Sahel applications, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah announced on today (Thursday).
The move forms part of an integrated operational plan aimed at expanding facilities available to citizens while ensuring that wedding halls meet the highest standards of safety, readiness and service quality.
Maintenance and Safety Remain a Priority
Al-Huwailah said the ministry has made the maintenance and rehabilitation of wedding halls a top priority, reflecting its responsibility to safeguard citizens and ensure that public facilities are fully prepared for use.
She stressed that no hall will be made available for booking until all maintenance and rehabilitation works have been completed, the necessary technical approvals obtained and all prevention and safety requirements fulfilled.
Reservations to Open in Phases
The ministry is implementing the reservations through a phased program linked to the operational readiness of each hall. Under this approach, halls will be added to the electronic reservation system as soon as they meet all required operational standards.
According to Al-Huwailah, the phased system is intended to balance the need to expand appointment availability with the ministry’s commitment to maintaining the quality and readiness of its facilities.
The ministry is also working to add a number of multi-purpose halls to its network of service facilities in the near future, with the aim of meeting citizens’ needs across various governorates and providing a wider range of options.
Ongoing Rehabilitation to Increase Capacity
Al-Huwailah said development and rehabilitation work is continuing at a number of halls to improve their operational efficiency and increase their capacity in response to rising demand during the coming seasons.
Technical teams are monitoring maintenance work on an ongoing basis and conducting detailed technical assessments before any hall is approved for booking. This process is intended to ensure that each facility meets the required standards before dates are made available to the public.
Bookings Limited to Digital Platforms
Al-Huwailah said restricting reservations to the electronic system enables citizens to check available dates and complete booking procedures conveniently and efficiently, in line with the ministry’s broader strategy to expand and improve digital government services.
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to continuing development programs aimed at modernizing the wedding-hall system, with a focus on strengthening safety standards, improving service quality and raising the overall standard of government facilities.
