Kuwait to witness scattered rains from tomorrow until Saturday

Kuwait’s Meteorology Department has forecasted scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder, in some areas starting from Tuesday afternoon and continuing until Saturday morning.
The Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, informed the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Monday, that the country will be affected by the extension of a weak high-pressure system, which will allow a humid surface low-pressure system to advance.
This coincides with a low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, leading to the formation of low and medium clouds, along with some cumulus clouds. As a result, scattered rains, occasionally thundery, are expected in some areas.
Al-Ali explained that the rains will be accompanied by active southeasterly winds, reaching speeds of over 50 kilometers per hour. This will cause a decrease in horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly exposed regions, and sea waves are expected to rise to over 6 feet.
Moreover, Al-Ali expected the weather to gradually improve starting Saturday afternoon. He urged citizens and residents to stay updated on the latest weather developments by following the weather bulletin on the administration’s website and official Smartphone application, and to check for any issued weather warnings.
