KIPIC Al-Zour refinery maintenance contracts worth at 143.2 mln dinars face delay

The Central Agency for Public Tenders has postponed a decision on two proposed maintenance contracts at Al-Zour Refinery, operated by Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), involving a combined adjusted value of approximately 143.225 million dinars.

The first tender covers maintenance services at the refinery, with the proposed award to Fawaz Trading and Engineering Services Company, which submitted the second-lowest bid meeting the required terms and specifications.

The adjusted contract value stands at approximately 73.138 million dinars, down from 74.502 million dinars following the correction of a calculation error and the rebalancing of prices.

The agency also reconsidered the proposed award of a second tender covering electrical maintenance and precision instrument maintenance services at Al-Zour Refinery to ABJH Engineering and Contracting Company, whose bid was the lowest among those meeting the required terms and specifications.

The adjusted value of the second proposed contract reached approximately 70.087 million dinars, compared with the original 70.248 million dinars, following similar corrections to the calculations and price rebalancing.

According to the meeting results published in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm, decisions on the two proposed awards have been postponed.
