Kuwait shuts Hawalli food outlet over health violations, safety breaches

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Saturday the closure of a food establishment in Hawalli Governorate, along with the issuance of five violations for failing to comply with health and safety regulations.
In a statement, the authority said the violations included breaches of public hygiene standards, non-compliance with approved health requirements, and the use of external space beyond the licensed area.
Additional violations involved food handling by a worker without a valid health certificate, as well as employing staff without obtaining the required medical certification, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The authority stressed that it will continue its intensive inspection campaigns around the clock, reinforcing oversight across food establishments to ensure adherence to health regulations.
It reaffirmed that strict legal measures will be taken against all violators, emphasizing that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to protect consumer health and ensure food safety standards across the country.
