Kuwait Security Forces Seize Drugs, Arrest Suspect in Capital Area

As part of ongoing security efforts by Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior to combat drug crimes and strengthen community safety, the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, represented by the Security and Patrols Department, arrested a suspect found in possession of various narcotic substances and drug-related equipment during a field security patrol.
According to authorities, the suspect was apprehended after raising suspicion during a security inspection. A search of his belongings led to the discovery of quantities of suspected narcotic substances and tools allegedly used for drug preparation and distribution.
The seizure included 23 pills suspected to be Lyrica, two bags containing a white substance believed to be narcotics, 14 pieces suspected to be hashish, and a bag containing approximately half a kilogram of suspected marijuana. Officers also confiscated six rolls of wrapping paper, three precision weighing scales used in preparing narcotics, and a quantity of empty bags allegedly intended for packaging and sale.
The suspect, along with the seized items, was referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying security campaigns across the country to combat drug traffickers and dealers, stressing that security personnel remain vigilant against anyone attempting to endanger public safety, particularly by targeting young people with narcotics.
