Kuwait mobilizes 8,000 officers, 900 patrols for National Day security

The Ministry of Interior announced that its security plan for the national holiday celebrations includes securing key areas and main roads while prohibiting marches on highways and any activities that obstruct traffic.

The Ministry of Interior has banned spraying water, foam, and similar substances during National Day celebrations, warning that violators will face legal action, including fines and vehicle confiscation.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has banned the sale and circulation of water pistols and water-filled balloons from December to March each year.

 

The Ministry of Interior is set to secure national holiday celebrations with an 8,000-strong force, 900 patrols, and female police officers, informed security sources told Al-Rai newspaper.

The sources said, “A meeting will be held in the coming days for the ministry’s leaders to finalize the details of the plan accompanying the celebrations. The plan involves multiple sectors of the ministry to refine the vision, assess sectoral needs, and assign specific tasks.”

The sources added that “the plan will include securing several key areas and main roads, such as Al-Khairan, Al-Wafra, Kabd, Al-Sabiya, Jaber Bridge, Al-Abdali Farms, and Arabian Gulf Street.” They emphasized that “this year, marches will not be allowed on highways, nor will any actions obstructing traffic be permitted.

The spraying of water, foam, and similar substances is also prohibited to ensure that the celebrations remain enjoyable for all. Violators will face legal action, including the confiscation of their vehicles and the issuance of penalties.”

The sources further noted that “last year’s experiencedemonstrated that the commitment and cooperation of citizens and residents with security personnel contributed significantly to maintaining order, reducing accidents, and preventing illegal activities.”

The sources urged everyone to celebrate the national holidays responsibly and respect the laws to foster an atmosphere of joy and festivity.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a decision to ban the sale and circulation of water pistols and water-filled balloons from December to March each year.
