Al-Mangaf fire building compliant with license, says Kuwait Municipality

The Kuwait Municipality has confirmed that the building where the devastating Al-Mangaf fire occurred is compliant with its construction license, reports Al-Jarida newspaper.

This information was released in response to a query from Municipal Council member Walid Al-Dagher regarding the investigation committee’s findings, formed under Ministerial Decree No. 329 of 2024.

The Municipality’s Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department conducted a field inspection of the site. Their report indicates that the residential building consisted of a ground floor, mezzanine, six repeated floors, and a roof.

The Municipality further stated that the property owner has addressed and rectified all reported violations. They also added that no legal investigation is currently underway into the matter.
