Kuwait Customs foils attempt to smuggle subsidized food supplies to Egypt

The General Administration of Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of subsidized food supplies into Egypt through trucks, authorities announced.
Customs inspectors at the Sulaibiya and Vegetable Market Customs Departments discovered the prohibited shipment during routine inspection procedures. The trucks were found carrying significant quantities of various food items in violation of applicable regulations.
Legal measures were immediately taken against those involved, and the case was referred to the relevant authorities for further action.
The General Administration of Customs reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening control at border points, preventing smuggling operations, protecting national resources, and ensuring strict enforcement of customs laws and regulations.
