Kuwait airport customs seize 4,255 Captagon pills hidden in passenger’s luggage
Customs inspectors at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 5 foiled an attempt to smuggle 4,255 Captagon pills concealed in the luggage of a passenger arriving from Syria, the General Administration of Customs announced.
According to the customs authority, inspectors became suspicious of the traveler’s baggage during routine screening and conducted a detailed inspection using advanced scanning equipment. The search uncovered three boxes containing Captagon pills hidden among the passenger’s belongings in an apparent attempt to evade detection.
Customs officials immediately completed the required legal procedures, prepared a seizure report, and referred the suspect along with the confiscated narcotics to the General Directorate for Drug Control for further investigation and legal action.
The General Administration of Customs reiterated its commitment to strengthening inspection and monitoring measures at border entry points and continuing efforts to combat drug smuggling and other prohibited items to safeguard the security and safety of society.
