Seven arrested for operating illegal liquor factory in Kuwait’s Al-Wafra area

Ahmadi security authorities seize 820 bottles and 110 barrels of locally produced liquor, along with two vehicles used for distribution

The Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate has arrested seven people for operating an illegal liquor manufacturing facility inside a house in the Al-Wafra residential area. According to the Ministry of Interior, the suspects included four Indian nationals and three Nepalese nationals, who were caught managing the illicit operation.

The arrests were made during a routine patrol near the Al-Wafra Cooperative Society, when a patrol officer stopped a vehicle travelling against the flow of traffic. While checking the vehicle and dealing with its driver, officers noticed bags containing liquor bottles inside the car.

During questioning, the driver admitted that the bottles contained locally manufactured alcohol and revealed that he had obtained them from a house in the Al-Wafra residential area.

Following the confession, security forces raided the identified location and uncovered an illegal liquor production facility. The operation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of 820 liquor bottles, 110 barrels of liquor, two knives and two vehicles used to distribute the alcohol.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that all seven suspects and the seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities for necessary legal action.
