Kuwait authorities arrest two Lebanese nationals in major drug bust

The Ministry of Interior announced that security teams from the General Department for Drug Control arrested two Lebanese nationals in connection with possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The ministry said the arrests came as part of ongoing security efforts by the Criminal Security Sector to track down drug dealers and traffickers. Investigations and gathered intelligence confirmed that the suspects were in possession of quantities of illegal substances intended for trafficking and abuse.

Authorities seized the following items during the operation:

  • 2 kilograms of marijuana
  • 400 grams of hashish
  • Half a kilogram of “chemical” substance
  • 6,000 Lyrica capsules
  • 3 precision scales
  • A quantity of nylon bags used for packaging and distribution

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that legal measures have been taken against the suspects, who were referred along with the seized items to the competent authorities.

The ministry also reiterated its commitment to continuing intensive anti-drug campaigns, stressing that it will firmly enforce the law against anyone attempting to harm the security and safety of society.
