Kuwait Arrests Social Media User for Filming Air Defense Activity and Causing Traffic Accident
Interior Ministry warns against sharing sensitive security content, urges public to follow safety regulations
The Ministry of Interior announced that its competent authorities have apprehended the user of a social media account after he was found to have filmed and published video clips showing air defense systems intercepting missiles, in violation of regulations related to public safety and national security.
The Ministry said the content circulated online included footage of defensive military responses, describing the act as harmful to the public interest and contrary to security guidelines.
It further revealed that the individual had also filmed using his mobile phone while driving, which resulted in a traffic accident—an additional violation of traffic laws and regulations.
The Ministry stressed that publishing or sharing any images or videos related to military or security sites, or defensive operations and field readiness measures, constitutes irresponsible behavior and will not be tolerated, adding that strict legal action will be taken against violators.
It urged citizens and residents to comply with all official instructions and regulations, affirming that the law will be enforced firmly on anyone found to have breached directives, particularly under the current exceptional circumstances.
