Kuwait Airways resumes Dhaka flights via Dammam, expands global network to 14 destinations

Kuwait Airways has announced the resumption of its scheduled flights to Dhaka, operating via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The operation will begin on April 24, 2026, with two flights per week, following a land transfer of passengers through the Nuwaiseeb border crossing as part of interim operational arrangements.

The airline stated that this step is part of its ongoing efforts to expand its route network under current regional circumstances, alongside a broader expansion strategy that has recently included destinations such as London, Cairo, Istanbul, Lahore, Amman, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Chennai, Manila, Paris, and Colombo. With these additions, Kuwait Airways now operates 14 destinations through its expanded network.

Acting CEO Captain Abdulwahab Al-Shatti confirmed that the national carrier is continuing to restore and expand its destinations in response to growing passenger demand. He noted that the airline is working efficiently to ensure smooth travel operations and is fully mobilizing its resources to manage booking requests and maintain reliable service to key destinations.

Al-Shatti explained that the resumption of the Dhaka route reflects its importance to Kuwait Airways passengers, particularly given the strong travel demand between Kuwait and Bangladesh. He added that the airline remains committed to adding more destinations to its schedule in line with operational capacity and passenger needs.

He also highlighted that Kuwait Airways has introduced a service enabling residents to apply for Saudi visas, provided they hold confirmed bookings on Kuwait Airways flights.

Al-Shatti stressed that the airline is continuously coordinating with relevant authorities inside and outside Kuwait to ensure optimal operational solutions. He reaffirmed that passenger safety and crew security remain the national carrier’s top priority under all circumstances.
