Kuwait advances plans for Al-Na’ayem Economic Zone, Al-Nuwaiseeb Free Zone

- The Central Agency for Public Tenders has approved a consultancy tender to update and prepare feasibility studies for the Al-Na’ayem Economic Zone and Al-Nuwaiseeb Free Zone, marking another step in Kuwait’s drive to attract investment and diversify its economy.
The Board of Directors of the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has approved the launch of a tender for consultancy services to update the feasibility study for the Al-Na’ayem Economic Zone project and prepare a comprehensive feasibility study for the Al-Nuwaiseeb Free Zone project.
The decision was published in the latest issue of the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm.
According to the published decision, the approval followed the board’s review of a series of official communications submitted by the agency, including correspondence dated June 28, 2026, concerning exemptions from manpower regulations, as well as recommendations and amendments contained in the Procurement Committee’s minutes and related documents.
The consultancy assignment will include updating the existing feasibility study for the Al-Na’ayem Economic Zone and developing an integrated feasibility study for the proposed Al-Nuwaiseeb Free Zone, providing the technical and economic assessments required to support the implementation of both strategic development projects.
The approval marks another step in advancing Kuwait’s plans to develop new economic and free zones aimed at supporting investment, expanding commercial activity and promoting long-term economic diversification.
