King Faisal Road towards Kuwait Airport to close for maintenance for 3 days

The airport-bound section of King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Road (Riyadh Road) will be fully closed for three days from Thursday for road maintenance, the General Traffic Department announced.
The closure will cover the section between Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Road (Fifth Ring Road) and the Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Muzain Bridge intersection, serving the South Surra and Khaitan areas. The closure will also affect the Yarmouk and Khaitan exits on King Faisal Road.
According to the Traffic Department, the closure will begin at dawn on Thursday, September 10, and continue until dawn on Sunday, September 13, to allow the necessary maintenance work to be carried out.
Motorists travelling from Kuwait City towards Kuwait International Airport will be diverted to Sheikh Zayed Road (Fifth Ring Road) during the closure. The Traffic Department urged motorists to follow the designated diversion route and take the closure into account when planning their journeys.
