CID men bust ‘liquor factory’ off Abdali Road farm, 4 men in police custody
Four Indian nationals have been arrested after allegedly using a farm in a desert area along Abdali Road to manufacture, store and sell locally produced liquor.
The arrests were made by personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Jahra Governorate, following investigation into the suspected operation. Investigators identified the farm before security personnel raided the site. Three suspects were arrested while they were allegedly engaged in the liquor manufacturing process.
A fourth suspect was arrested after arriving at the farm to allegedly purchase booze for resale, according to the authorities.
The raid resulted in the seizure of 236 plastic bottles filled with booze, along with a large number of barrels and raw materials allegedly used in the manufacturing process. Police also seized an unspecified amount of money.
During questioning, the three men allegedly admitted to using the farm to manufacture, store and sell liquor. The fourth suspect allegedly admitted to purchasing the liquor for resale.
Authorities also found the three main suspects who were arrested on the farm had arrest warrants been issued against them for fraud and deception cases and were hiding on the farm to evade arrest. Legal action has taken against the four men, while the Kuwait Municipality has been asked to dismantle the violating site.
