Jazeera Airways launches direct flights to Albania’s coastal gem

The airline’s direct route between Kuwait and Albania will begin with two flights per week, aiming to ramp up to three flights weekly.

After announcing the launch of direct flights to Tirana, the capital of Albania and a gem of the Adriatic Sea, starting Thursday, June 13, via Jazeera Airways, His Excellency Ilir Hysa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the State of Kuwait, explained that the direct route through Jazeera Airways between the two countries will initially operate with two flights per week, with hopes to increase the frequency to three flights per week, the Al Rai newspaper reported.

The ambassador added that the reason for reopening the direct line between the two countries stems from numerous requests from Kuwaiti tourists keen on visiting Albania, his country situated in southeastern Europe along the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. He highlighted that Albania has begun garnering attention as an intriguing tourist destination.

He reiterated the reminder that Kuwaitis are visa-exempt upon entry, and holders of an Article 17 passport (Bidoon) are also visa-exempt. Additionally, residents in Kuwait or abroad in various regions worldwide are exempt from visas if they possess a valid Schengen, British, or American visa, provided it is multipurpose and has been previously used. He also mentioned that one of Tirana’s most significant main streets is named after Kuwait.

Ambassador Hysa highlighted in a statement to Al-Rai newspaper that Albania stands out for its natural and cultural diversity, making it an ideal destination for adventure, history, and nature enthusiasts. He mentioned that the spring and summer seasons (from April to September) are the best times to visit Albania, as the weather is moderate and suitable for outdoor activities.
