ICAIKC holds 19th Annual General Meeting, charts vision for future growth

The Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAIKC) successfully conducted its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Crowne Plaza Kuwait, bringing together members, past chairpersons and professionals to review the Chapter’s achievements over the past year and outline its future direction.

The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Secretary CA Umesh Soni, followed by a comprehensive review of the Chapter’s activities and accomplishments during the 2025-26 financial year.

Treasurer CA Firoz Ali presented the Annual Report, highlighting the Chapter’s achievements across continuing professional education programs, technical seminars, student initiatives, networking events, knowledge-sharing forums and community engagement activities.

He also presented the audited financial statements, which were unanimously approved by the members. The AGM further approved the appointment of CA Jainuddin Jhabuawala as Auditor for the 2026-27 term.

Addressing the gathering, outgoing Chairperson CA Rohit Agarwal reflected on the Chapter’s key milestones and underscored the importance of promoting professional excellence, continuous learning and value creation for members in a rapidly evolving business environment.

A major highlight of the AGM was the completion of statutory business and the formal induction of the Managing Committee for the 2026-27 term. Members acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing committee and extended their best wishes to the incoming leadership team.

Assuming office as Chairperson, CA Venkata Ramana Badida presented his vision for the Chapter, emphasizing professional development, knowledge enhancement, leadership cultivation, member engagement, digital transformation and stronger collaboration with professional and regulatory bodies.

The newly elected Managing Committee for 2026-27 comprises:

  • CA Venkata Ramana Badida – Chairperson
  • CA Sweta Chipra – Vice Chairperson
  • CA Firoz Ali – Secretary
  • CA Ketan Puri – Treasurer

Executive Committee Members are CA Umesh Soni, CA Andaleeb Girkar, CA Jatin Bagaria, CA Vipin Sharma, CA Manish Chaturvedi and CA Joseph Peter.

The Managing Committee will be supported by a team of volunteers, whose continued contributions are expected to strengthen the Chapter’s programs and member engagement initiatives.

During his address, Chairperson CA Venkata Ramana Badida also encouraged members to participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations organized by the Embassy of India at Boulevard Park on June 20.

As the ICAI Kuwait Chapter enters its 20th year, it reaffirmed its commitment to advancing professional excellence, lifelong learning and meaningful community engagement while continuing to serve as a leading platform for Chartered Accountants in Kuwait.
