Personnel from the Directorate-General for Drugs Control have arrested six expatriates, including a woman, in four separate cases involving the alleged trafficking and consumption of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspects have been referred to the Narcotics and Alcohol Prosecution Office following investigations by anti-narcotics officers after search and arrest warrants were issued by the Public Prosecution.
Searches of the suspects’ residences resulted in the seizure of 415 grams of methamphetamine (shabu), 175 sheets of synthetic cannabinoids and 60 grams of hashish. Officers also confiscated equipment and tools allegedly used to divide and package narcotics, and 540 dinars, believed to be proceeds from sales of drug.
