Increased humidity is expected from Monday, September 28, and may continue intermittently over the coming days with the beginning of October, approaching saturation levels and potentially reaching 100 percent in some areas, and the higher humidity could increase the possibility of fog formation and reduced horizontal visibility, particularly under conditions favourable for fog development, says meteorologist Fahd Al-Otaibi. He noted that humidity levels and their effects are expected to vary across different parts of the country, depending on prevailing weather conditions and wind patterns. The latest forecast from the Meteorological Department indicates relatively humid conditions in coastal areas on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29 and 30, with humidity levels forecast to range as high as 55 percent. For Thursday, October 1, the forecast shows humidity potentially reaching 75 percent.
The weather pattern is therefore expected to become more humid as October begins, with conditions varying by location and changing weather and wind patterns.
