Hot and dusty weather expected over the weekend

The Meteorological Department has forecast hot and dusty weather conditions across Kuwait this weekend, both during the day and night.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Acting Director of the department, Dharar Al-Ali, explained that the country is currently affected by an extension of the seasonal Indian low-pressure system, bringing a hot air mass and moderate to strong northwesterly winds. These winds may cause dust storms, lower visibility, and increase sea wave heights.

Friday Forecast – Day: Hot and dusty, with northwesterly winds ranging from 20 to 60 km/h. Some high clouds may appear; Temperature: 43–45°C; Sea: Moderate to high waves (3 to 6 feet); Night: Hot to very warm, with dust gradually settling. Winds will be lighter inland but may remain active along the coast, between 15 and 50 km/h.; Temperature: 29–31°C; Sea: Moderate to high waves (3 to 6 feet)

Saturday Forecast: — Day: Hot and dusty again, with stronger northwesterly winds reaching up to 65 km/h; Temperature: 42–44°C; Sea: Moderate to rough waves (3 to 6 feet); Night: Hot to very warm, with dust continuing to settle; inds will be light to moderate, occasionally active at 15 to 50 km/h.; Temperature: 27–29°C; Sea: Light to moderate waves, occasionally reaching 6 feet
