From mosques to frontlines, Kuwait urged to stand united in face of hostility

Faith, duty, and defense, sermon praises frontline heroes and calls for unwavering solidarity

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has dedicated this week’s Friday sermon, delivered across mosques nationwide, to addressing the current crisis under the theme “The virtue of steadfast vigilance and those who uphold it,” emphasizing unity and collective resilience in the face of ongoing aggression.

The sermon highlighted the gravity of the present circumstances, describing them as a time marked by injustice and hostility from a tyrannical adversary.

It urged worshippers to reflect on the spiritual rewards of defending faith and the country, safeguarding its borders, and supporting those tasked with protecting the nation’s security and interests, reports Al-Rai daily.

It further underscores the elevated status of those stationed on the frontlines, noting their vigilance and sacrifice in ensuring the safety and stability of society during these exceptional conditions.

The message also pays tribute to the nation’s defenders, affirming that behind the population stand dedicated personnel from the armed forces, interior ministry, firefighting units, and healthcare sector.

These individuals, it said, continue to place themselves in harm’s way to preserve national security and protect lives and values.

The sermon stresses that serving the public and safeguarding their welfare remain among the highest forms of duty, particularly during times of crisis and conflict. It described the combined efforts of military and civil defense personnel as a “strong fortress” shielding the nation from danger.

In its concluding remarks, the sermon praises Kuwait’s longstanding legacy of faith, charity, and humanitarian outreach, both locally and globally.

It called on citizens to remain optimistic, uphold unity, and align behind national leadership, warning against division and discord at a time when cohesion is most critical.
