“Homeland Shield 2” joint military exercises enhancing Kuwait’s security concludes

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf, stressed the importance of joint exercises between security and military agencies, highlighting their key role in enhancing the country’s security and stability.

Al-Nawaf emphasized the need to continue organizing joint training exercises to enhance coordination between the relevant parties and strengthen field capabilities for protecting the nation’s security.

The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Kuwaiti Army, concluded the joint exercise “Homeland Shield 2” today, Thursday, on Failaka Island.

The exercise included the participation of the General Department of Special Security Forces, represented by the Security Shields Department, the Explosives Department, the Special Units Department, the Security and Control Department, and the Saleh Mohammed Mechanized Brigade (94) of the Kuwaiti Army.

The exercise concluded in the presence of Lieutenant General Al-Nawaf, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Special Security Affairs, Major General Abdullah Safah Al-Mulla, the Commander of the Mohammad Saleh Mechanized Brigade (94) of the Kuwaiti Army, Brigadier General Barak Abdul Mohsen Al-Farhan, and several security and military leaders. The training featured field exercises involving live ammunition and explosives, conducted within simulated scenarios to address potential security challenges.

The exercise aims to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Kuwaiti Army while improving the readiness of participating forces to ensure a swift and effective response to various threats.
