Ministers inspect preparations at Amiri Terminal, Airport Road for the upcoming Gulf Summit 2024
The Amiri Airport and the airport road were inspected by Ministers as follow up on preparations for the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which will be held in Kuwait in December 2024.
Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, Dr. Mahmoud Bushehri, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, along with Eng. Nasser Taqi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, together inspected the Amiri Airport and the airport road to follow up on preparations for the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which will be held in Kuwait in December 2024.
During the inspection visit, Al-Mashaan was briefed on all the developments and works and directed the need to complete them within the specified dates.
Al-Mishaan said in a statement following the tour that the Ministry of Public Works and the Roads Authority are about to complete the maintenance of the airport road and the Amiri Airport, and similarly complete all the required preparations before the Gulf Summit in Kuwait that will be held in December.
Moreover, she directed the need to remove all obstacles facing the airport road and the Amiri Airport, and stressed the need to take into account the importance of this road and intensify work to complete it. This will ensure the safety and smoothness of traffic movement for all guests coming to Kuwait for the 45th Gulf Summit.
Al-Mishaan also called for speedy completion of all pending works with the required quality and efficiency, which will be in accordance with the approved technical specifications and adherence to the pledged timetable.
