“Health Ministry” gears up for national holidays with 20 emergency points, 50 ambulances

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, reaffirmed the ministry’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of citizens and residents throughout the holiday period.
Dr. Al-Sanad highlighted that dedicated health teams are operating around the clock, following meticulously designed plans and strategies that adhere to the highest quality standards in healthcare. This comprehensive effort is being carried out under the direct supervision of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, ensuring seamless and effective medical services.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Sanad emphasized that the Ministry has implemented a series of proactive measures to strengthen the healthcare system’s readiness and ensure a swift response to any emergencies.
Dr. Al-Sanad highlighted that the Ministry has set up 20 temporary medical emergency points at celebration sites, equipped with approximately 50 ambulances of various types, including golf cart ambulances and four-wheel-drive bikes, to ensure swift and efficient access to any emergency case.
Around 250 emergency medical technicians have been deployed to handle various cases, whether by providing on-site care or facilitating immediate hospital transfers when necessary. This strategic allocation enhances response times and ensures swift, effective medical assistance.
Health Facilities
Regarding health facilities, Dr. Al-Sanad emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to keeping approximately 40 percent of primary health care centers operational throughout the holiday. Some centers will remain open 24/7, while others will extend their services until midnight, ensuring continuous medical care for all visitors.
Additionally, seven preventive health departments across all governorates will continue operating during the morning hours to ensure the uninterrupted implementation of preventive health programs.
Dr. Al-Sanad also highlighted that dental emergency clinics under school health programs will remain operational, alongside dedicated clinics for adults available in specialized dental centers, public hospitals, and primary health care centers.
Importantly, Dr. Al-Sanad further noted that the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya and the Blood Transfusion Cooperative Center in the Ahmadi Health District will continue to welcome donors until 7 pm, ensuring a steady supply of blood units throughout the holiday period.
Dr. Al-Sanad emphasized that hospital emergency departments remain on high alert, operating 24/7, with staff working in shifts and under a structured guard system to ensure uninterrupted and efficient healthcare services.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Sanad also highlighted that information on the operating hours of health centers and facilities during the holiday period is readily available on the Ministry of Health’s official social media accounts. He urged the public to stay updated by following these platforms for the latest details on healthcare services.
Dr. Al-Sanad also urged the public to exercise caution while driving, particularly in crowded areas and near pedestrian crossings. He emphasized the importance of adhering to safety measures when using bicycles and motorcycles. Additionally, he warned against throwing water balloons or engaging in any behavior that could pose a risk to others or compromise public health.
