Kuwait Municipality launches nationwide cleanliness campaign across all governorates
‘Hand in Hand for a Clean Environment’ campaign to intensify inspections throughout July

Kuwait Municipality announced the launch of a large-scale cleanliness campaign titled “Hand in Hand for a Clean Environment,” which will begin on Monday in the Capital Governorate before expanding to the remaining governorates throughout the country.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, the municipality said the campaign will continue throughout July and aims to evaluate and enhance cleanliness standards through intensified field inspections carried out by cleaning department teams across all municipal branches.
The municipality explained that public hygiene and road occupancy departments in all six governorates will increase inspection tours to monitor public cleaning services in residential areas and ensure compliance with municipal regulations.
Field teams will directly supervise cleaning operations, monitor road occupancy violations, and assess the performance of cleaning contractors and companies to ensure adherence to approved laws and regulations related to public hygiene and road usage.
The campaign will also focus on removing neglected vehicles, abandoned boats, scrap materials, and other obstructions that distort the public appearance and occupy streets and open spaces.
Municipality officials stated that the initiative is part of broader efforts to create a healthier and more sustainable environment in residential areas by intensifying field monitoring, addressing negative practices, and taking legal action against violators.
