The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that several power generation and water distillation plants came under attack on Monday for the fourth consecutive day as a result of Iran’s criminal aggression against Kuwait.
The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the attack caused fires at several facilities. Emergency teams, in coordination with the Kuwait Fire Force and security authorities, responded immediately and brought the fires under control.
It added that damage had been assessed and repair plans are underway. Several generation units were taken out of service as a precautionary operational measure to protect equipment and maintain the stability of the electricity and water networks.
The ministry affirmed it would continue updating the public on developments through its official channels. – Kuna
