Four private schools challenge Municipal Council’s eviction order
The Legal and Financial Committee of the Municipal Council filed four grievances submitted by private schools located in private and model housing areas. These grievances were in response to the council’s decision to evacuate the schools from those areas.
During the committee’s meeting, the head of the committee, Fahd Al-Abduljader, explained the reason for filing these grievances, considering the issue is before the judiciary. He pointed out that the committee decided to keep on its agenda the book of the Kuwait Insurance Federation regarding adding new activities to the list of public stores that disturb comfort and are harmful to health.
Al-Abduljader said that the letter from the Kuwaiti Association for Small and Medium Enterprises regarding the exclusion of small and medium enterprises from municipal fees has been returned to the executive body.
Additionally, the committee preserved the proposal from member Munira Al-Amir regarding the establishment of a mechanism to resolve disputes between citizens and contracting and construction companies, noting that the proposal has been approved.
