Egyptians Forum in Kuwait joins national holiday festivities
His Excellency Osama Shaltout, Ambassador of Egypt to Kuwait, congratulated Kuwait’s leadership and people on Independence and Liberation Days, wishing the country continued prosperity and progress.

• The Egyptians Forum highlights the strong cohesion and brotherhood between the two nations, reflected in the participation of visual artists from both Egypt and Kuwait. Together, they created a joint artwork titled “Together in Love of Kuwait,” symbolizing the deep interconnection between the two peoples, said His Excellency Osama Shaltout, Ambassador of Egypt to Kuwait.
The Egyptians Forum in Kuwait was held as part of the Egyptian community’s annual participation in national holiday celebrations. Organized under the patronage of His Excellency Osama Shaltout, Ambassador of Egypt to Kuwait, the event took place at Hawally Park with the presence of Sheikha Amal Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Consul General Sherif Badir, officials, and a large gathering of Egyptian expatriates and Kuwaiti citizens.
Ambassador Shaltout extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the brotherly people of Kuwait on the occasion of Independence and Liberation Days, wishing the country continued prosperity and progress.
He also highlighted Kuwait’s selection as the Capital of Arab Culture and Media for 2025, seizing the opportunity to congratulate the nation on this esteemed recognition.
Ambassador Shaltout added that the annual Egyptians’ Forum in Kuwait is part of a series of celebrations held by the Egyptian community in Kuwait this month. This occasion highlights the strong cohesion and brotherhood between the two nations, reflected in the participation of visual artists from both Egypt and Kuwait. Together, they created a joint artwork titled “Together in Love of Kuwait,” symbolizing the deep interconnection between the two peoples.
He also expressed gratitude to the brotherly State of Kuwait for hosting and caring for the Egyptian community. Additionally, he praised the efforts of Egyptian expatriates in Kuwait, recognizing them as partners in development who work diligently and sincerely to contribute to the growth of their second home, sisterly Kuwait. He further commended the engagement of the Egyptian community in national initiatives dedicated to Egyptians abroad, under the patronage and guidance of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

For her part, Sheikha Amal Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah expressed her joy at the participation of the Egyptian community in Kuwait’s national celebrations, emphasizing the strong ties between the two nations. She stated that Kuwait and Egypt are one people, deeply connected on multiple levels.
Sheikha Amal Al-Hamoud also praised the remarkable turnout at the celebration, which was attended by Ambassador Osama Shaltout, members of the Egyptian Embassy and consulate, and numerous members of the Egyptian community in Kuwait, all proudly raising the flags of both brotherly nations.
Sheikha Amal Al-Hamoud emphasized the deep-rooted and historical ties between Kuwait and Egypt, highlighting the sacrifices made by both nations in defense of one another.
She noted that Egyptian blood was shed in defense of Kuwait until its liberation, while Kuwait’s army and people stood in solidarity with Egypt during its wars—from the 1956 conflict through the 1967 war and culminating in the October 1973 victory—where Kuwaiti martyrs also gave their lives on the sacred land of Sinai.
Concluding her remarks, Sheikha Amal Al-Hamoud prayed for Kuwait’s continued prosperity under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah—may God protect him—and His Highness the Crown Prince. She also wished for Egypt, under President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, to remain blessed with security, stability, and prosperity.
A heartfelt patriotic gesture
Meanwhile, Hani Kamal, the general coordinator of the Egyptian Forum in Kuwait, described the Egyptian community’s participation in Kuwait’s national celebrations as a heartfelt patriotic gesture under diplomatic patronage.
Kamal expressed gratitude to Kuwait’s government and people, emphasizing the deep emotional connection between Egyptians and Kuwait. He noted that many Egyptians consider Kuwait their second home, having been born and raised there, while others have spent decades living on its hospitable land.
