“Education Ministry” suspends grievance submissions, stresses zero tolerance for violations

The Ministry of Education has announced the suspension of applications for the Complaints and Grievances Committee, following the conclusion of the two-week application period, as stipulated by the ministerial decision of Minister of Education, Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei.

The Ministry explained that the Complaints and Grievances Committee, which includes representatives from four different entities, received 41 cases during the application period, involving serious financial and administrative violations. These cases are currently under thorough review in line with approved legal frameworks, with the aim of ensuring justice and promoting transparency in addressing complaints and grievances.

The relevant sectors are reviewing additional files related to financial and administrative dues for ministry employees, as well as legal cases, in accordance with the directives of Minister Al-Tabtabaei. The Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to legal systems and regulations in handling these matters.

Minister Al-Tabtabaei also directed the Human Resources Department team to review complaints related to the entitlements of the Ministry’s employees. Additionally, the Legal Affairs Sector has been tasked with studying and addressing complaints and grievances referred from the Citizen Service Office, which is affiliated with the Minister’s Office.

The Ministry of Education praised the efforts of its employees across various sectors, acknowledging their dedication and sincerity in overcoming obstacles and facilitating processes for both employees and visitors. This reflects the Ministry’s commitment to implementing systems and regulations that govern the relationship between government institutions and their employees.

Moreover, the Ministry of Education reaffirmed its commitment to addressing all complaints and files submitted to the Grievance Committee, while promoting integrity across all its sectors. The Ministry emphasized that the ongoing efforts are aimed at creating a fair and transparent work environment that serves both citizens and the public interest.

The processing of files and grievances follows precise standards aligned with applicable laws and regulations. All procedures are conducted with impartiality and transparency, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to justice and ensuring equal opportunities for all employees and individuals interacting with the Ministry.

The Ministry of Education urged everyone to cooperate with the committee and relevant authorities to achieve the desired goals. It emphasized that all efforts are dedicated to supporting the educational process and affirmed that it will take necessary measures to hold accountable anyone involved in violations that could impact the workflow or the rights of employees, in line with its responsibility to all those affiliated with the Ministry.

Importantly, the Grievances and Complaints Committee will continue its work for three months from the date of its first meeting, which will be convened at the invitation of its Chairman and with the presence of the majority of members. The Committee has the authority to request an extension of its work period by submitting an official request.

The Committee will also submit a monthly report outlining the results of its work and recommendations. A detailed final report will be provided at the end of its work period.
