Court sentences citizen, security officer in Nuwaiseeb smuggling case

The Court of Appeal has sentenced a citizen to two years in prison and a security officer to three months for attempting to smuggle individuals whose citizenship had been revoked through the Nuwaiseeb border crossing.
The court, headed by Counselor Nasr Al-Haid, with the membership of Counselors Mutaib Al-Aradhi and Saud Al-Sane, issued varying penalties against members of a network involved in the illegal operation.
According to case details, the accused were arrested following a carefully planned ambush carried out by detectives, which led to the dismantling of the smuggling attempt at the Nuwaiseeb border.
Authorities had launched the operation after monitoring suspicious activities linked to the movement of individuals whose nationalities had been withdrawn, resulting in the apprehension of those involved.
