Brazilian trade mission to meet Kuwaiti counterparts in early February

A Brazilian trade mission, comprising government officials and company representatives, will visit Kuwait from February 2 to 4 for meetings with Kuwaiti authorities and business leaders.

Led by the Secretary General of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mohamad Mourad, the delegation includes representatives from Brazilian trade and investment promotion agencies, as well as companies from sectors such as agribusiness, aeronautics, and infrastructure.

The mission is scheduled to meet with Kuwaiti officials at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), the Ministries of Commerce and Industry and Foreign Affairs, as well as several other government agencies and companies.

In a statement, Ambassador of Brazil to Kuwait, H. E. Rodrigo Gabsch, thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and KCCI for their partnership with the embassy in organizing the mission. He expressed confidence that the visit would help increase and diversify trade and investment between Brazil and Kuwait, benefiting both nations.

Headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has been operating for over 72 years with the goal of connecting Brazilians and Arabs to promote economic, social, and cultural development. Over the years, it has played a key role in strengthening the relationship between these two peoples. It is also a member of the Union of Arab Chambers.

Bilateral trade between Kuwait and Brazil reached a total of 985 million dollars in 2024. Brazil’s exports, valued at over 404 million dollars, included products such as poultry, metal tubing, maize, beef, and coffee. On the other hand, Kuwaiti exports, totaling over 580 million dollars, were mainly comprised of oil products and sulfur.
