Al-Sumait reviews digital transformation, case efficiency during Public Prosecution visit

Minister of Justice Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait visited the Public Prosecution headquarters, where he met Attorney General Counselor Saad Al-Safran along with senior public prosecutors, department heads, directors, and members of the prosecution authority.
During the visit, Al-Sumait underscored the central role of the Public Prosecution as a key pillar of the criminal justice system. He highlighted its responsibility in representing society in public cases, overseeing the implementation of penal laws, pursuing offenders, and ensuring the enforcement of judicial rulings.
He praised the professionalism and dedication of prosecution members, commending their efforts in safeguarding society, upholding legality, and reinforcing the principles of the rule of law.
The minister reaffirmed that the Ministry of Justice is fully committed to supporting the Public Prosecution across all operational aspects, including administrative, technical, training, and legislative needs, reports Al-Rai daily.
He stressed that this support is based on institutional integration among justice bodies while preserving the independence of judicial authorities and the integrity of their functions.
Discussions during the visit also covered key development priorities, including improving the work environment, accelerating legal procedures, enhancing digital transformation initiatives, and modernizing legislation related to prosecution work.
These measures aim to boost efficiency, streamline case handling, and improve overall judicial performance.
Al-Sumait concluded by expressing appreciation for the efforts of public prosecutors and reaffirmed that the Ministry of Justice will continue to provide full support to strengthen the prosecution’s role in delivering justice and advancing Kuwait’s judicial system.
