Kuwait condemns Houthi attacks, reaffirms full solidarity with Saudi Arabia
The State of Kuwait has strongly condemned and denounced attacks by the Houthi militia targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif with ballistic missiles and drones.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks injured a number of civilians and caused material damage to residential homes and vehicles, describing them as a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability and interests, and to protect citizens and residents on its territory.
The ministry emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and that of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Kuwait has repeatedly expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia following Houthi attacks and has condemned such attacks as threats to regional security and stability.
