Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge moves closer to completion after 12-year hiatus
Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan inspected the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project on Monday to review the latest progress and follow up on construction works. The inspection coincided with the opening of part of the bridge to motorists traveling on the Sixth Ring Road from Salmiya toward Road 604, known as Kabd Road.
An exit was also opened for motorists traveling on the Sixth Ring Road from Jahra toward Road 604, in cooperation with the General Traffic Department. The developments are part of efforts to complete the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project, which had been suspended for about 12 years before construction and completion works resumed at an accelerated pace under the Ministry of Public Works’ plans to advance vital projects.
The progress followed intensified field monitoring by Minister Al-Mashaan and ministry teams, along with her directives to accelerate construction and complete the remaining requirements, bringing the project to its final stages.
The project’s progress reflects coordinated government efforts and cooperation among the relevant authorities, under the support and guidance of the political leadership to accelerate the implementation of development and strategic projects and strengthen Kuwait’s infrastructure.
Once completed, the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge is expected to improve traffic flow on the Sixth Ring Road and Road 604, increase the efficiency of the road network and better serve residents of the area, helping improve traffic conditions in the surrounding area.
