CITRA warns iPhone users of fake delivery messages
The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) has warned iPhone users about fraudulent messages circulating through iMessage that impersonate shipping and delivery companies.
The authority said the messages ask recipients to update shipment information or pay fees through suspicious links. CITRA urged users not to click on the links or share any personal or financial information.
Users should check their shipment status only through the delivery company’s official website or application, the authority said. It also advised users to delete suspicious messages and report them as spam.
