Kuwait takes into custody six men in four drug cases, seizes narcotics

Personnel from the Directorate-General for Drug Control Ministry of Interior have arrested six men in four separate cases involving narcotics and psychotropic substances allegedly intended for trafficking and personal consumption.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said the operations were carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Department as part of ongoing security efforts to combat drug-related offences and apprehend those involved in the trade and use of illegal substances. The operations resulted in the seizure of one kilogram of marijuana, 360 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 170 grams of hashish and 150 grams of cocaine, according to the ministry.

Authorities also confiscated one litre of a liquid chemical substance, along with a quantity of A4 papers saturated with the substance. The seized items included four precision scales, a collection of empty bags prepared for filling, and a sum of money believed to have been generated through drug trafficking.

The ministry said the arrests and seizures formed part of continuing efforts to disrupt drug-related activities and bring those involved before the relevant authorities.
