Prime Minister chairs meeting to advance major healthcare projects

- Kuwait accelerates health projects with focus on insurance hospitals, Daman primary healthcare centers
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah chaired a meeting to review the latest developments of key healthcare projects and assess their implementation progress in line with approved timelines.
The meeting focused on the health insurance hospitals project, including updates on completion phases, as well as the development of Daman primary healthcare centers and the broader health insurance initiative.
Officials discussed the progress of the projects and reviewed the categories expected to benefit from the health insurance system, while emphasizing the importance of coordination between government institutions and private sector partners to ensure successful implementation.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Office Sheikh Khalid Al-Khaled, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Sheikh Dr. Salman Al-Khalifa, and Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Sheikh Saud Al-Abdulaziz.
