Iran says, any new attack will widen Middle East war

Iran Warns of “New Fronts” as US Tightens Gulf Blockade and Nuclear Talks Intensify
Middle East Tensions Deepen as Iran Threatens Wider War Amid Last-Minute Diplomacy
US-Iran Standoff Enters Critical Phase with Military Threats, Gulf Interceptions and Peace Push

The crisis across the Middle East took another dangerous turn as Iran’s military warned it could “open new fronts” in its conflict with the United States and Israel if fresh attacks are launched against the Islamic Republic.

The latest escalation comes amid rising military activity in the Gulf, fragile diplomatic efforts, and growing international concern over the widening regional fallout.

In a significant new development, the US military announced that it intercepted and searched an Iranian-flagged commercial oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman suspected of attempting to breach Washington’s maritime blockade on Iran, dw.com reports.

According to US Central Command, the vessel, identified as the M/T Celestial Sea, was redirected after American forces boarded and inspected it before allowing it to continue on an altered route.

At the same time, diplomatic channels remain active despite the military threats. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei confirmed that Tehran had received a new proposal from the United States and was currently reviewing it.

He said the visit of Pakistan’s interior minister to Tehran was partly aimed at facilitating indirect communication between the two sides.

Iran continues to insist on several conditions for any breakthrough, including an end to the war, the lifting of the US blockade on Iranian ports, and the release of frozen Iranian financial assets abroad. Iranian officials have repeatedly argued that economic pressure and military threats will not force Tehran into surrender.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that Tehran remains open to diplomacy while warning against coercion. In a statement posted on social media, Pezeshkian said Iran had consistently honored its commitments and argued that “mutual respect in diplomacy is far wiser, safer, and more sustainable than war.”

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump signaled that negotiations with Iran may be approaching a decisive phase. Trump told reporters that talks were in their “final stages” but warned Tehran that the United States was prepared to launch further action if no agreement is reached.

Trump also revealed that he had postponed possible military strikes on Iran after requests from leaders in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, highlighting growing Gulf concerns that a broader conflict could destabilize the entire region and disrupt global energy supplies.
