PAM Refers Suspected Human Trafficking Case to CID
Workers’ gathering outside main building triggers investigation into potential labour violations and exploitation

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower has referred a suspected human trafficking case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following a workers’ gathering outside its main headquarters.
The authority said the incident raised concerns over possible violations, including exploitation and illegal recruitment practices. Initial observations indicated that the gathering of workers may be linked to disputes involving employment conditions and sponsorship-related issues.
Officials confirmed that the case has been formally handed over to the CID for further investigation, in line with legal procedures to address suspected human trafficking activities.
The authority reiterated its commitment to safeguarding workers’ rights and taking strict action against any entities found to be involved in unlawful practices.
