Government reaffirms policy of neutrality and commitment to international law amid regional developments

The Kuwait Cabinet has reaffirmed that the State of Kuwait will not allow its territory to be used as a base for launching attacks against any country, underscoring its firm stance of neutrality in regional and international conflicts.

The statement was issued following the Cabinet’s weekly meeting chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during which ministers reviewed ongoing regional developments and their implications.

The Cabinet stressed that Kuwait is not a party to any conflict, reaffirming its commitment to a balanced foreign policy grounded in international law, peaceful coexistence, and good neighbourly relations.

Officials highlighted that safeguarding national sovereignty and protecting the country’s interests remain a top priority, with authorities maintaining readiness to respond to any potential threats.

The reaffirmation comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Kuwait continuing to call for restraint and the resolution of disputes through diplomatic means.
