Municipality removes 23 violating camps in Southern region

The Spring Camps Committee at the Kuwait Municipality, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Fire Force, and the Environment Public Authority, has embarked on a mission to dismantle spring camps which are built in violation of the camping regulations in the southern region.
The mission targets camps set up without permits or outside designated camping zones, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the Municipality, inspection teams have issued 53 warnings for camp removal, recorded a violation against a street vendor renting motorcycles, confiscated 11 buggies, removed one container, and cleared 23 camps found in breach of camping rules.
The Public Relations Department affirmed that the Spring Camps Committee will continue its field efforts across all camping areas to prevent illegal encampments and ensure full enforcement of the Municipality’s regulations and decisions.
