Court fines Dr. Al-Awadhi KD 50,000 for sectarian incitement, orders X account shutdown
The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Abdul Wahab Al-Muaili, has fined Dr. Khalil Al-Awadhi 50,000 dinars after convicting him of contempt for Shiites and inciting sectarian strife through posts he published on the social platform X.
The case was filed by the Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Rai daily.
The court also ordered authorities to implement the necessary technical measures to disable Al-Awadhi’s X account and prevent its reactivation for one year.
