Kuwait emerging as a global investment hub amid surge in official visits: Al-Yahya

Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya said Kuwait’s rapid progress in the area of development, especially through major project contracts with several Asian nations and expanding partnerships with leading global companies, has encouraged more countries and corporations to propose new economic cooperation initiatives across various government sectors.

He added, the surge in official visits to Kuwait reflects rising global confidence in the country’s investment climate. He noted that the country’s accelerated development, has positioned Kuwait as a prominent global investment hub.

Al-Yahya added that 2026 will see intensified diplomatic activity, underscoring Kuwait’s commitment to expanding economic cooperation and attracting strategic partnerships under the guidance of senior leadership.

He explained that these nations have recognized the Kuwaiti government’s serious commitment to implementing mega projects, which has made Kuwait an increasingly attractive destination for international companies seeking fruitful opportunities. Many, he added, are now submitting proposals for review by the competent authorities.

Al-Yahya stressed that Kuwait has become an international investment attraction, pointing out that this growing interest is evident in the wave of official visits already taking place, as well as the planned visits announced by several countries.

He predicted that 2026 will witness strong momentum in high-level diplomatic exchanges, expressing optimism that these meetings will help strengthen cooperation with friendly nations.

The minister concluded by emphasizing that Kuwait’s diplomatic and economic engagement “continues according to the directives of our wise leadership,” adding: “We aim to maximize the benefits of this expanding international openness toward Kuwait.”
